1 quart - Raw Goat Milk for Cats & Dogs

Raw Goat

Limited Until February

Raw goat milk is a treat that any pet will love! It's naturally A2/A2 and contains less lactose than cow milk, which makes it easily digestible, especially for cats & dogs that are lactose intolerant. Straight from the udder. Full fat and cream top. Never heated.

Our raw milk should last about 2 weeks in the fridge after you receive it. Every jug comes with a sell by date on the cap, and the milk should last at least a week past that date. But, of course, once it's opened there are so many variables that can affect shelf life (contaminants getting in, etc).

Yes, raw milk can be frozen. We recommend freezing it when very fresh, just after you receive it. We also recommend freezing for no more than 6 months (the longer it's frozen, the more probiotic loss). One last thing to keep in mind is that some pets may notice a change in flavor when thawed. So it's always good to so a small test before committing to freezing in bulk.

Your cats & dogs will love lapping our milk on its own in a bowl. You can also add it to their regular food, pouring it on top of kibble or wet food.

*Dairy shouldn't be a staple food for cats and dogs. Being carnivores (or nearly carnivores), raw meat is their essential food. Use dairy as a treat or mix in with their other food for a limited period.

Why raw milk for cats and dogs? What's up with that?
We believe that your whole family should get the best quality, most nutrient-dense, safest foods available. That’s why our pet food is made in the same way that we would prepare food for ourselves - with the highest quality farming standards, a straightforward process, and extreme attention to detail.

What are your milk safety standards?
Milk safety is a top priority. Although it's not required for raw pet milk, Creekside Organic Acres is certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture for raw milk production and bottling for humans in PA. They test regularly for both general bacteria counts as well as specific pathogens.

Will the cream rise to the top?
Nope. Goat milk is naturally homogenized. It contains smaller fat globules that remain distributed rather than floating to the top (like with cow milk).

What's the fat content?
Our goat milk contains about 3.5% fat and has a rich consistency.

What breed are your goats?
Our milking goats are crosses between Alpine, Saanen, and Nubian goats.

What are the goats fed?
The goats have free access to pasture year round. However, in the hot summer, they usually choose to stay in the barn. When they're not eating forage at pasture, they are fed a GMO-free, corn-free, soy-free, and chemical-free feed from a farmer that raises and mixes the grains himself. Feed contains barley, oats, peas, alfalfa, and minerals.

Is your goat milk A2/A2?
Yes! All goats naturally produce A2/A2 milk. This is because goats (and all mammals) did not undergo a genetic mutation like cows do.

Does all of your goat milk come from one farm?
Yes, all goat milk comes from Creekside Organic Acres.

Our raw milk is made simply and is never heated or altered in any way. Here's how we do it:
1. The goats are milked using old fashioned pneumatic milkers.
2. The milk is poured into the bulk tank to cool down quickly.
3. The milk is bottled to order the day before or the day we pack it for you.
+
The milk is packaged in HDPE plastic, which is the most environmentally stable of all plastics. It does not contain BPA, phthalates, heavy metals, harmful fumes, or allergens. But all plastic has the potential to leach chemicals.
