Pork Heart

Our pork heart is frozen and vacuum-sealed to maintain freshness. For best use, store in the freezer for up to 1 year, or in the refrigerator for 3-5 days.

You can slow thaw in the refrigerator overnight. Or quick thaw in a bowl of cold water, changing the water every 20-30 minutes until thawed.

This organ meat makes a killer sandwich! Boil it, cool it, and slice it. Serve it on sourdough bread with some grainy mustard and sauerkraut. Yum!

Pork heart is also great for hiding in many dishes. Cut it small and put it in stews, meatloaf, or chili.

Pork heart pairs great with Latin flavors, you can find it in many recipes including stir-frys and tacos.

Our pigs are raised in the woods. In addition to the nuts and roots and other foraged foods they find solo, the pigs are fed lots of skim milk and a corn & soy free feed. The feed contains a blend of peas, fish meal, seashell flour, alfalfa meal, wheat middlings, kelp, probiotics, vitamins, and minerals.

What are the health benefits of eating pork heart?
Pork heart is packed with nutrients! It's high in protein, B vitamins, iron, zinc, and other good stuff. It also has Omega 3s, thiamine, folate, selenium, phosphorus, and coenzyme Q10.

What does pork heart taste like?
Pork heart is very comparable to beef, it has a meaty robust taste. It’s the flavor of a nutty pork.

Why is Miller's pork different from others?
Our pigs are raised in the woods and left to forage on their own. In addition to the foods they find, we also feed them a natural feed that's corn and soy free. We take pride in our heritage breeds, and our clean ingredients added to our pork products.

Our pork heart is packaged in HDPE plastic, which is the most environmentally stable of all plastics. It does not contain BPA, phthalates, heavy metals, harmful fumes, or allergens. But all plastic has the potential to leach chemicals.
