A warm hug with a surprise at the end. That's what you'll feel like when you sample cranberry honey. Your tastebuds will experience sweetness up front and a faint tart poke of cranberry at the end. Cranberry honey is a fall flavor favorite. This delicious honey comes from the New Jersey regional hives.
Storage Tips: Honey is best stored at temperatures above 77°F to avoid crystallization. The lower the temp, the faster the honey will crystallize.
Crystallization: If it's the real deal raw honey (never heated or altered in any way), it will eventually turn solid and crystallize. If crystallized honey is left for too long, it will ferment. There's nothing you can do to prevent this.
How to De-Crystallize Honey: Take a large bowl, fill it with warm water, and let your honey sit in it until the crystals melt away. Just make sure to heat the honey to no more than 104F to maintain all the beneficial microbiology.
