It began with two bee hives to pollinate a variety of fruit trees. The fruit trees were nearly forgotten as the bees began to take center stage and what started out as a curiosity became a full-blown hobby. We now have quite a bit more than two hives!

We are Sam and Miriam Fisher, blessed with four children: James, Hosea, Leila, and William. The children are all homeschooled and enjoy the privilege of growing up on a small farm.
Chickens supply us with wondrous eggs and sheep keep our meadows trimmed. Black Locust trees grow on our creek banks, dandelions cover our yard in spring, and clover blooms like popcorn in summer.

We grow our own vegetables, herbs, and fruits. We forage wild things like violets, plantain, chickweed, and berries. We make our own kombucha and kefir, and we eat bee pollen in our smoothies and yogurt. We regularly enjoy homemade sourdough bread with loads of raw butter and big puddles of honey.

We feel a deep sense of gratitude and appreciation in being connected to our food and to the land around us. Honeybees, in all their royal glory, complete the experience for us.
