Virkler Farm & Forest

Located in Danby, Vermont, the Virkler family harvests maple sap from their pristine, chemical-free forest each spring. It's boiled down in their sugar shack, handcrafted out of --- you may have guessed it --- milled maple wood. They have extreme attention to detail, making sure their syrup is a precise color and flavor. They think about maple syrup on the nitty gritty level, using organic coconut oil as their defoaming agent, while the syrup boils in a stainless steel pot.
