Pure, golden, 100% grass-fed, A2/A2 butter from our (mostly) Jersey cows. It's thicker than the average store-bought butter. That's because of it's higher butterfat content (similar to what you'd find in Europe). Never heated or altered in any way. This butter weighs 34#, is in a bucket and perfect for those who like to buy in bulk! Weight may vary up to 3# from the estimated weight.

Yes, this product is legitimately certified as pet food! It's government approved for pet food only!
Why? Well, sadly there's no available human certification for raw dairy products like butter. Gee, if we could get our raw butter certified for humans, we sure would! For now, we make it with our raw milk (which is certified for humans in Pennsylvania), using the same process our team makes it for their human family at home.
Plus -- raw butter can not only be a great addition to your diet but your pet's diet, too! Your cats & dogs will love licking our butter on its own in a bowl. You can add a tablespoon on top of or mix it into their regular raw meat, wet food, or kibble.

Our raw salted butter should last about 10-14 days on the counter, 1-3 months in the fridge, and 1 year in the freezer. But, of course, once it's opened there are so many variables that can affect shelf life (contaminants getting in, etc). Since it's raw, our butter will naturally ferment and sour over time.

Raw butter is perfect to eat as is, no need to melt it or alter it in any way.
Lather up a piece of sourdough toast for breakfast. Place a slab on a perfectly grilled grass fed steak. Or my favorite--take the pit out of a date, place a tablespoon of cold butter in it and 2 chocolate chips for a sweet cookie like treat!

What are your milk safety standards?
Milk safety is a top priority. Although it's not required for raw pet milk, Miller's Bio Farm is certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture for raw milk production and bottling for humans in PA. We also go above and beyond what's "required" for that certification by testing every batch of milk on site for general bacteria counts.
What does the "best by" date mean exactly?
The best by date is an estimate for when the yogurt will likely become too sour to palate. It may start souring before that, but we're kinda guaranteeing it won't be too terribly sour before that date.
Why does my butter come frozen?
We make all of our butter in small batches, in order to preserve the freshness we freeze it immediately after making it.
What breed are your cows?
Our small herds are 80% Jersey and 20% Jersey crosses Jersey/Guernsey, Jersey/Brown Swiss, Jersey/Holstein, etc.
How do you know with certainty that the cows produce A2/A2 milk?
We do a genetic test via hair sample on each of our cows. The results tell us if a cow produce A1/A1, A1/A2, or A2/A2 milk. All of our cows are A2/A2 and produce milk with 100% A2 beta-casein protein.

Our raw salted butter is made simply in an old fashioned way. Here's how we do it:
1. The cows are milked using old fashioned pneumatic milkers.
2. The milk is poured warm, directly into a cream separator. Then, the cream is cooled down quickly.
3. The cold cream is put into our butter churn, where it's mixed until the fat separates into clumps.
4. The buttermilk is drained, and then the butter is washed with cold water until the water is clear.
5. Sea salt is kneaded into the butter in just the right amount.
6. The butter is packed in molds to make it a rectangle. Then, it's wrapped with care in PFAS-free freezer paper.
7. The butter is immediately frozen so you can get the freshest product possible.
