What is Celtic Sea Salt?
“Celtic” is the term Jacques (the owner) coined for the salt after learning that the Celts invented the harvesting method. In France, they call it "sel gris" or grey salt. We call it Light Grey Celtic® because of the trace amount of French green clay imparted into the crystals. There is a darker grey salt at the source, but it is more for bath or agriculture uses. The “Light Grey” is the best for consumption.

Where is Celtic sea salt from?
The Fine Ground Celtic® sea salt is from France.

Should I be concerned about heavy metals in my Celtic sea salt?
We at Miller's have done heavy metal testing on our bone broth, which is made with this Celtic sea salt. The results put us in the A+++ Health Ranger food status. So, although there have been muckraking articles about lead and arsenic levels in Celtic sea salt, the amount of salt you use in your cooking and eating should keep any toxic heavy metals within a safe range.
