The Nitty Gritty Details

+
Our pasture raised chicken neck and backs are ground finely into a raw blend. Then, it's mixed with our raw A2/A2 kefir and frozen immediately.
+
Our chicken and kefir meal topper can be fed on top of kibble, canned, or cooked foods. Any amount of raw meat and bones in your pet's life is a benefit to their health and well being!

*It is not recommend that you cook this food before feeding, as cooked bones are not healthy for pets.

+
Our chicken and kefir meal topper is NOT a complete diet... but it can be used as part of one.

A whole prey diet is composed on about 80% muscle meat & fat, 10% offal/organs, and 10% soft bone. Our chicken pet food is about 65% muscle meat and 35% bone.

So, you could feed 1 part of our chicken pet food alongside 3 parts added muscle meat and 1 part added organs for a complete diet. For example, if you feed your pet 15oz of raw food per day, you would feed 3oz of chicken pet food, 9oz of muscle meat, and 3oz of organs for a complete whole prey diet.

*It is not recommend that you cook this food before feeding, as cooked bones are not healthy for pets.

Yes! Pop the frozen (or partially thawed) food out of the container and cut into portions with a big sturdy knife. This is especially useful for smaller pets that only eat a little bit per day. Those portions can be stored in an airtight bag in the freezer. Take out one portion at a time to thaw and feed as needed.
+
Keep chicken and kefir meal topper in the freezer for up to 6 months. Put in the fridge a day before feeding to thaw. Once thawed, it will last up to 2 days in the fridge.

Our products are made in small batches, and the farm does its best to maintain consistency, but it can vary from batch to batch. Plus, since our chickens are pasture raised and our cows are grass fed, the flavor and color varies with the seasons and the weather. And finally, since we don’t use preservatives, colors, or flavors, all of that will change from batch to batch.

The chicken is packaged in HDPE plastic, which is the most environmentally stable of all plastics. It does not contain BPA, phthalates, heavy metals, harmful fumes, or allergens. But all plastic has the potential to leach chemicals.
