Lard is the original cooking fat!

It's what our ancestors cooked with everyday before the wide variety of cooking oils we use now was available.

Lard (rendered pork fat) is a fantastic and versatile cooking fat! It's mild in flavor - don't worry, all of your food won't taste like bacon - and has a very high smoke point.

You can use lard for high temperature frying, making pastries and baked goods, greasing a pan, roasting, sautéing... well, basically anything a fat would be used for! 

Our lard is made from fat from all parts of the animal and is processed with dry heat.

Best of all, lard lasts a really long time!

It can be kept at room temperature for 4-6 months, in the fridge for up to a year, and indefinitely in the freezer.
