Clover honey? It's super popular in Pennsylvania! Light in color and a mild taste, it's everywhere since bees love clover. Way better flavor than just sugar, and great for sweetening up tea, coffee, and anything dessert.

Honey technically lasts forever. But there are some tips to keep it in its best shape.

Storage Tips: Honey is best stored at temperatures above 77°F to avoid crystallization. The lower the temp, the faster the honey will crystallize.

Crystallization: If it's the real deal raw honey (never heated or altered in any way), it will eventually turn solid and crystallize. If crystallized honey is left for too long, it will ferment. There's nothing you can do to prevent this.

How to De-Crystallize Honey: Take a large bowl, fill it with warm water, and let your honey sit in it until the crystals melt away. Just make sure to heat the honey to no more than 104F to maintain all the beneficial microbiology.

Clover honey is one of the most versatile honeys on the market. It is the perfect addition to a charcuterie board, in baked goods, drizzled on some ice cream, in coffee or tea… the list is endless!

In addition to the parings above it makes for the perfect sweet balance in marinades and salad dressings.

Clover honey is known for its mild, sweet, and subtly floral taste, with hints of freshly cut grass, cinnamon, or plums. It's a popular choice for those who prefer a lighter, less intense honey flavor.

Our raw honey is made the way nature intended, working with the bees instead of against them.

Our bees are always given access to blooming flowers to gather nectar from. Bees are efficient and will fly the shortest distance to gather food. We make sure that our bees have plenty of chemical-free flowers to forage from, so we don't get any chemicals or GMO pollen in the honey.

If they are wintering over, the bees are given their own honey to feed on. They are NEVER fed high fructose corn syrup.

When the honey is harvested, a warm knife is used to cap the hive frames. This removes the thin layer of beeswax so the honey can be extracted.

Then, the frames are spun really fast to extract the honey without heat.

The honey goes through a thick mesh filter. This removes any bee parts of big particles from the honey. It leaves you with raw honey with pollen and all the good stuff included!

Has your honey been tested for glyphosate?
No, it has not. Our beekeeper is confident that his bees have enough chemical-free area to forage from and doesn't need verification.

Is the honey really pure and raw?

Yes, absolutely! We don't add anything to the honey. It's pure. And we never heat it. In fact, our beekeeper freezes the honey that he won't bottle right away to keep it in its purest condition (other bee farmers keep their "raw" honey warm).

Welsh Mountain Apiaries uses Mite Away Quick Strips for mite control. The only ingredient is formic acid, which is an organic acid already present in honey.
