A powerhouse of antioxidants. The blueberry honey's got this really smooth, sweet, and fruity vibe, with a light blueberry flavor and just a touch of tang. People often say it tastes buttery, kind of earthy, and has a little floral hint in there too. This honey comes from the Maine regional hives.
Storage Tips: Honey is best stored at temperatures above 77°F to avoid crystallization. The lower the temp, the faster the honey will crystallize.
Crystallization: If it's the real deal raw honey (never heated or altered in any way), it will eventually turn solid and crystallize. If crystallized honey is left for too long, it will ferment. There's nothing you can do to prevent this.
How to De-Crystallize Honey: Take a large bowl, fill it with warm water, and let your honey sit in it until the crystals melt away. Just make sure to heat the honey to no more than 104F to maintain all the beneficial microbiology.
