The beef tri tip should last up to a year in the freezer. You can slow thaw in the fridge or quick thaw in a bowl of cold water. Once thawed, it will last 3-5 days in the fridge.

To cook a tri tip, start by heating a pan on high until it's really hot. Place the tri-tip in the pan, fat side down, and sear it in some A2/A2 butter for about 4 minutes over medium-high heat. Then, flip the roast and transfer it to the oven at 350F. Cook it for roughly 10 minutes per pound, using an instant-read thermometer to check. Aim for an internal temperature of 130 degrees for medium-rare.

Sea salt, black pepper and fresh garlic are great seasonings to season the beef tri-tip.

Tri-tip goes great with BBQ-like sides. I’m talking mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, baked beans, macaroni salad, and green beans.

As the seasons allow, our cows are raised in the open pasture or field. They are 100% grass-fed and finished, which means they only eat their natural diet of grasses and what they forage on pasture. In the colder months, they have hay and free choice organic nutrients in the barn.

The tri-tip is a triangular cut of beef located at the bottom of the sirloin. Specifically, it's the triangular portion at the tip of the sirloin.

Why is grass-fed beef more nutritious than conventional beef?
Grass-fed beef is considered healthier than grain-fed beef because it contains more omega-3 fatty acids, conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), and antioxidants, while also being lower in total fat.

Do your cows get mRNA vaccines?
Nope! At Miller's, it's a hard no for mRNA vaccines. None of our animals have or will get them. While we're on the topic, none of our farmers vaccinate their animals at all!

The beef tri tip is packaged in HDPE plastic, which is the most environmentally stable of all plastics. It does not contain BPA, phthalates, heavy metals, harmful fumes, or allergens. But all plastic has the potential to leach chemicals.
