Our maple syrup is direct from the farm in Vermont that produces it. It is processed only enough to bring the sap to syrup and has no preservatives. It is a dark amber color with a robust flavor.

We do not grade our maple syrup. It is made in the old-fashioned way and varies slightly from year to year, forest to forest, and tree to tree.

Honest Disclosure: The maple syrup producer adds non-GMO safflower oil as a defoaming agent. They add about 1/5 of a teaspoon per gallon, and they believe that some of it evaporates in the syrup-making process.
