A versatile medium amber syrup made with no seed oils! Direct from Vermont, our pure maple syrup is made using organic coconut oil as a defoaming agent. Sure, it's only a trace amount, but we believe the tiny details matter when it comes to natural food.

Unopened maple syrup in glass can last indefinitely when stored in a cool, dry place. Once opened, pure maple syrup can last for about 2 years in the refrigerator or indefinitely in the freezer

Beyond drizzling it on pancakes and waffles, there are so many uses for maple syrup, sweet and savory! It can be used in baking, as a marinade or glaze for meats, in salad dressings, and even in cocktails. It's also a great sweetener for coffee, oatmeal, syrups, and other beverages.

The Virkler family harvests maple sap from their pristine, chemical-free forest each spring. It runs through tubes to their sugar shack, where it's boiled down in stainless steel pots into the perfect syrup. Organic coconut oil is used as the defoaming agent. Great attention to detail is used to give the syrup a precise color and flavor.

Is anything added to the maple syrup? Is it pure?
This maple syrup is 100% pure. No added corn syrup or preservatives or colors or anything yucky.

Where does your maple syrup come from?
Our syrup is harvested and handcrafted in Danby, Vermont.

What is a defoaming agent?
A defoaming agent is used when cooking down maple sap to -- you guessed it -- reduce the foam. If it weren't used, the foam would boil over the pot, making a sticky mess. The amount of defoamer used is a tiny amount, less than 1% (probably more like 0.1%) of the final syrup.

Conventional maple syrup typically uses seed oils like vegetable oil as a defoamer. More natural syrup makers might use safflower oil. However, in an effort to eliminate seed oils, our maple syrup is made with organic coconut oil as a defoaming agent!
