- Servings: 2-3
Ingredients
- (2lbs) Chicken Wings
- (3 Tbsp) Maple Syrup, 1 quart (Glass)
- (2 Tbsp Ghee or Avocado Oil) 1 quart - A2/A2 Ghee (Glass)
- (2 Tbsp) Coconut Aminos
- (1 Tbsp, fresh) Orange Juice
- (2 tsp, fresh) Lime Juice
- (1/2-1 clove, minced) 8oz - White Garlic
- (2 tsp, fresh, minced) 8oz - Ginger
- (2 tsp, fresh, minced) Lemongrass
- (1/4 tsp) Fine Celtic Sea Salt, 8oz
- (1/4 tsp, fresh, cracked) Black Pepper
- 1/8 tsp paprika, optional
Directions
- In a small bowl whisk all ingredients (except the wings) together.
- Pour marinade into a large plastic storage bag or a glass bowl with lid and add in the chicken wings. Seal the bag and let the chicken marinate in the refrigerator for 1-4 hours, turning the chicken once. When ready, reserve and strain the marinade into a small saucepan.
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees, add chicken to a large baking sheet or dish.
- Bake for 25-30mins or until an internal meat thermometer reads 165F in the thickest part of the wing. Be sure to flip the wings over half way though cooking.
- While the wings are cooking, reduce the sauce by half over medium heat, stirring often or until thick enough to glaze the wings (10mins or so). Taste and add salt and pepper if needed.
- Remove wings from the oven when ready, let cool a few minutes, glaze and serve.
Notes
If you’re not a maple syrup fan or do not have any on hand you can also use honey, coconut nectar, date syrup or keto sugars to replace it and still keep the glaze healthier and free from refined sugars.
The glaze can also be put on shortly before the chicken is done and set to broil for 5 minutes.
Optional - sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onion or serve with celery sticks.
