Braised Beef Short Ribs

Ingredients
- (1 Tbsp) 1 quart - A2/A2 Ghee (Glass)
- (2.5-3lbs) Beef Short Ribs
- (1/2 cup diced) 1lb - Yellow Onions
- (2 cloves) 8oz - Fresh Garlic
- (2-3 sprigs) Fresh Rosemary
- (1-2 cups) Dry Red Wine
- (1 cup) Crushed Tomatoes, canned
- (2) Bay Leaf
- (to taste) Salt and Pepper
Directions
1.Salt and pepper the short ribs.
2.Heat the ghee in a large pan.
3.Once the pan is sizzling hot, add the ribs and brown on both sides (about 2 minutes or so per side). Transfer to a plate.
4.Sautee the diced onion for 5 minutes over low heat.
5.Add chopped rosemary and sliced garlic, cook for 30 seconds
6.Add the wine, crushed tomatoes and bay leaves. Mix well and cook for 1-2mins on low.
7.Transfer the sauce to the slow cooker and set the ribs on top. The ribs will be partially submerged in the liquid.
8.Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until very tender and easily come off the bones.
9.Serve with mashed potatoes, polenta or rice.
Tips/Notes
Extra veggies can be added to the slow cooker. You may need a little extra sauce depending on how much you add.
