Braised Lamb Shank
Lamb can be complicated, not knowing the right seasonings, how to cook it, etc. This braised lamb shank recipe combines simple, nutrient dense and delicious ingredients and it's super easy to prepare. Once you've cooked it properly it simply melts in your mouth. You'll be wondering what you can braise next!

Directions

  • Preheat your oven to 350F.
  • Chop up your vegetables.
  • In a Dutch oven or cast iron skillet combine 3 tablespoons of butter, 1/2 diced onion, 2 cloves of minced garlic, cook on medium heat.
  • Cook until translucent. 
  • Add in your lamb shanks & brown on all sides on medium heat. 
  • Add in your beef bone broth, diced carrots, cubed potatoes, 4 tablespoons of butter and salt and pepper to taste.
  • Cover with a lid & bake for 2.5-3 hours or until the meat is tender and falls off the bone.
  • Serve with some microgreens on top!

This dish pairs well with a warm slice of sourdough bread & grass-fed butter!
